Makeup geek review
So I am now doing a review on one of my favorite lines of makeup: Makeup Geek. I love these products and especially the idea that Marlena came up with by doing these very good quality eyeshadows and being at a very reasonnable price. Especially for me, I am a girl on a budget. I don't like to spend 12 to 15 dollars on an eyeshadow or 30 dollars on a blush. I'm always on a hunt for the small price and good quality products. And Makeup geek hit the spot! I'm going to show you only the products I bought off their website. But if you want to see more, here is their website : www.makeupgeek.com
I will start with their eyeshadows pans. I keep mine in a Z-palette that I also bought on their website but you can also buy their eyeshadows in a single packaging.
Here are the colors I have in the palette: (starting on top row from left to right) vanilla bean, beaches and cream, peach smoothie, creme brulee, frappe, cinderella, mango tango, cupcake, unexpected, cocoa bear, chickadee, wisteria, simply marlena, shimma shimma, sea mist.
Here are the swatches
These are the colors I call transition colors. That's why they don't show up as much but this is what you need as a transition color.
These are my more vibrant colors. I like to put these on the lid as a simple look or to do a nice colorful smoky with these. (on the far left is cinderella, I'm sorry I got out of frame and didn't realize I missed it)
On this one is my favorite eyeshadow from makeup geek : shimma shimma. It's very versatile for many things. I use it on my lid, in my inner eye corner, on my brow bone and even as a highlight on my cheek bones!
Then there are the pigments. What can I say except for they are amazing! I only have two shades but I intend on buying many more! These are highly pigmented and you don't need a lot on your brush for it to show up on your lid.
I have the colors vegas lights, which is a very nice dark brownish copper, and sweet dreams, which is a nice shimmery champagne color.
Last but not least I have two makeup geek brushes which I love very much. The foundation stippling brush and the stiff dome brush. I love putting my foundation on with the stippling brush, it is said that it's very comparable to the sigma f-80 flat kabuki brush! Then, the stiff dome brush, I love to use it for the transition colors in the crease. It's very fluffy so it helps to blend the eyeshadows.
This is all I have in my makeup geek colletion but I certainly plan on buying more very soon!
I hope this review was useful for you!
Here are the prices:
eyeshadows pans: 5.99$
Z-palette medium black: 17.00$
pigments: 6.99$
stiff dome brush: 7.99$
foundation stippling brush: 17.99$

Subtle makeup with bold lips
Hey guys!
So here is another makeup look that I have been loving for the nice summer weather. It's fresh looking still keeping it in the orange and coral colors. I did a simple bronze color on the lids and a nice redish-orangy lip. Hope you like it!

And I used my finger to apply highlight
This is the lipstick from wet n' wild. It has spf 15 in it so that's why this line is called megashield. It is very smooth and creamy but you have to swipe it many times on your lips for it to show a lot. It's a very good lipstick for it's price (3.99$). I might go and buy some more colors : ).
Thank you!!
